Abstract: The aim of this research is to determine the effect of Oxalic acid on rice husk. Rice husk was collected from Osun State, Nigeria. Two methods of rice husk namely: Raw rice husk (RRH) and Leached rice husk (LRH) were subjected to thermal treatment at 7000C by varying the combustion time of 1-6h to determine the effect of time on the type of silica produced. The treated and untreated rice husks ash was then analysed by X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). Favourable results were obtained from XRD patterns at 3h indicated that oxalic acid treated rice husk ash (LRHA) produced amorphous silica of good quality. However, specific surface area of the particle analysis at 3h, indicated the highest amount of 16.82mm2/g and also the SEM presented appropriated morphological characteristics of the best silica.

Abstract: Permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM) generate high-frequency electromagnetic vibration and noise when powered by inverters and the cause is high-frequency electromagnetic exciting force (EMEF). In this paper, the frequencies and orders of EMEF are analyzed. The expression of EMEF acted on the stator inner surface is derived and the frequencies and orders of main components of vibration are listed. The high-frequency vibration experiments are conducted on a surface mounted 8-pole and 12-slot PMSM. The high-frequency vibrations near switch frequency and its multiples are main components of vibrations of motors when powered by inverters, and experiments are conducted to study the influence of switch frequency on the vibration acceleration. The impacts of periodic frequency PWM and random frequency PWM on the vibration acceleration and peak value of its frequency spectrum are studied by experiments.

Department of Automation, Hebei University of Technology, Shijiazhuang, China

Page No: 78-86

Abstract: In order to improve the performance of fertigation equipment, a fertigation control system based on ARM and μC/OS-II is developed. Serial screen is adopted to improve the performance of human-machine interaction, and to decrease the load of MCU. Several tasks related to the control system and fertigation process are designed based on the schedule of μC/OS-II. Furthermore, a self-adaptive control algorithm combined the single neuron with PID is proposed. The testing results of EC and PH control demonstrate that this method is effective to the fertigation control system.

Abstract: With the development of ICS, PLC and SCADA systems are interconnected with Ethernet and directly connected to internet, which greatly improve the efficiency of data sharing and introduced in security threats at the same time. Once crack fault occurrence of critical infrastructure will result in casualties and great economic loss. Peach Fuzzer is an advanced and extensible fuzzing platform and is restricted to those with TCP/UDP-based protocols on Windows Platform, the PN-DCP would not be supported  without publisher to send PDU correctly. So it is urgent to develop an additional publisher for PN-DCP. In this paper, we propose a novel Peach improvement on Profinet-DCP for industrial control system vulnerability detection. We analyze the importance of vulnerability detecting for PN-DCP with Peach Fuzzer. Then, introducing the Peach Framework, the hierarchy of Profinet-DCP and the PitFile of Profinet-DCP. We also evaluate our approach through experiments, the results can fully satisfy the requirement of vulnerability detecting of PN-DCP on Peach platform.

Page No: 94-103

Abstract: A total of 126 bacterial strains were isolated from water samples collected from Ruvu River in Tanzania. Seventy strains were identified by morphological, biochemical and 16s rRNA gene sequence analysis. The strains were found to belong to Acinetobacter, Pseudomonas, Vibrio, Aeromonas or Bacillus spp. Coagulant protein was purified from Parkinsonia aculeata seed by ion exchange chromatography. Antibacterial effect of the purified P. aculeata coagulant protein (PAP) and Citrus fruit juice (CF) was tested on four bacterial strains that belonged to different genera. Bacterial cell flocculation analyses showed that, PAP and CF aggregate both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Growth studies of bacterial strains incubated with PAP and CF revealed that, inhibitory dosages of PAP ranged from 0.38 mg/L to 0.88 mg/L and growth inhibition occurred within two to four hours. The PACE and PAP showed high coagulation activities that were similar to those observed for chemical coagulant (alum) with turbidity removal efficiencies ranging from 93 to 98%. A simplified method used for purification of proteins together with high antimicrobial and water coagulation activity make proteins suitable for supplementing chemical coagulants in drinking water treatment. Also, CF is suitable for post disinfection of water treated with proteins prior drinking in poor communities.

Abstract: This paper introduces some modeling means of weapon equipment support system-of-systems first, analyzes the feasibility of aviation ammunition support system-of-systemsAASSoSbased on Complex Networks methods. Then, a network model of the AASSoS architecture was established after introducing the statistics parameter of the Complex Networks and giving the hypothesizes and generating algorithms of AASSoS. At last, by giving the means of evaluation, it shows that the models and the method were effective and scientific in the reality examples.

Abstract: This paper presents a fault reconstruction scheme based on sliding mode observers for sensor and actuator faults detection and isolation for a class of uncertain nonlinear systems. A coordinate transformation is first designed for the output equation of the system followed by a first-order low-pass filter in order to convert the sensor faults into equivalent actuator faults. The original system then is transformed into three subsystems through linear transformation.

Page No: 121-129

Abstract: The stability of two stratified Rivlin-Ericksen elastico-viscous superposed fluid permitted with suspended particles (fine dust) in porous medium has been considered. By applying normal mode analysis method, the dispersion relation has been derived and solved analytically. For case of exponential varying stratifications, it has been found that the system is stable for stable stratifications and unstable for unstable stratifications under certain conditions which are in contrast to the Newtonian fluid where the system is always stable for stable stratifications.
